In Italy, a Passive House reference project incorporating a number of Dow products reduces energy consumption by 92 percent.

The Passive House, one of the world’s leading standards in energy efficiency, calls for housing with a dramatic reduction in energy consumption and zero carbon emissions. A home in Padua, Italy, was remodeled to achieve these stringent standards using Dow products, and now serves as headquarters of the Italian Solar InfoCenter. The building is intended to be a reference project for designers and building contractors, and an educational venue for students and the general public.
